Boomer came into rescue at the age of 10. He was not neutered or vaccinated, was underweight, and had a mass in his mouth and a heart murmur. He spent five months in his first foster home but his love affair with their young female golden led to male head-butting with their other male. Heidi and Adam, who foster for us in Summerland, took Boomer in and were to find him a forever home. Well, they decided they had to be his forever parents. Boomer made his decision to stay with them early on and is Heidi's constant companion. When she was sick, Adam had to come into the bedroom, put the leash on Boomer, and forcibly take him on walks because he would not leave Heidi's side. Boomer understands that he has to be nice to the foster kids that come to stay and share his beds and toys with them. Boomer now enjoys long walks on the beach and the love of two devoted people.
