About J.J. – ADOPTED

JJ is a happy, tail-wagging, healthy, playful and well mannered 8 year old boy.  JJ’s family surrendered him to the shelter because the kids were off to college and they didn’t need him any longer. He rides well in the car loves people (will gladly give you lots of face licks) loves other dogs – and tennis balls, stuffed toys and Kongs.  He knows his basic commands and learned quickly how to use the dog door.  He gets along famously with his two foster brothers even when they are acting a bit bossy.  Has a very soft mouth except when he is destroying dog toys but, he does not bother peoples’ things at all.  Loves gentle tugs of war and fetching.  JJ loves to play and run around as long as he doesn’t have to run too fast.  He is very good on a leash but, pulls a bit when he finds spots favored by cats.  So he will probably do best in a feline-free environment.  JJ would love a home with another dog and he would also do well as an only dog with lots of human companionship.  He is a lovely easy dog to be with and will make a great pal.
