About Alfey – ADOPTED
Meet Alfey, a big, beautiful boy with lots of love to spare! Alfey is young and a work in progress. He has lots of kind of skills: He kind of sits, he kind of stays, he kind of waits. His loose leash walking is going very well with the help of a Gentle Leader. Alfey is a very sweet boy in need of lots of guidance, patience and time. He is house trained and can be left unsupervised for short periods of time. Alfey’s most naughty deed to date was chewing up a pine cone in the house. Really not bad, considering he is only 11 months old! Alfey’s house manners are pretty good. He doesn’t jump up or counter surf and he is still figuring out what is his and what is not.
Alfey plays really well with his foster siblings, although they have to be monitored so things don’t get too rambunctious. He is a retrieving machine and does love a good game of fetch, but sometimes needs help in remembering to share toys. Alfey’s dream day would involve a long walk, a rousing play period, ‘helping’ you around the house, and then dinner and a round of snuggling on the sofa. At the end of the day, all he really wants is love and to love you back.
Alfey loves meeting new people, he seems good with cats, and he is unphased by bicycles, skateboard and runners. Alfey has been introduced to swimming and swims well with a little encouragement. Loud things, like the vacuum and trash trucks still make him nervous. With continued training and guidance, Alfey will be a one of a kind companion. All the love and attention you give him, is returned tenfold. If you have had your in home interview and are interested in meeting Alfey, please contact Nancy at nancy_meyers@verizon.net
