We named her Blessing – because she is! She was found wandering in the dessert, dehydrated, covered in tumors and literally no hair on her body.  Yet somehow the shelter knew, from her smile and the wag of her naked tail, this was a Golden Retriever.  We rushed her to our vet where it was discovered she had a rare disease that caused the hair loss.  After spending a few weeks in the Martin’s home, she’s found a cozy little bed with the Hart’s where she gets to “chase” the chickens and socialize with the cat, dogs and other critters. She is still wagging her tail, getting her tummy rubs, barking to let the family know there is a guest at the front door and never forgetting her cookies and oranges!
