About Derby – ADOPTED

Meet Derby, he is a red, 6 year old boy that is a very mellow fellow. He was surrendered to the shelter because his family said they had too many dogs.(Yikes!) Derby is very calm and loving. He loves tennis balls and spends much of the day playing with his foster brother especially if there is a tennis ball involved. He leaves his foster families things alone, does not chew or counter surf. He loves to lie on the couch, but since that is not okay with his foster mom he is learning to stay down. He is very good on a leash and in the car. We are not sure if he likes cats and he seems to be fine with young children. Since we are not sure about his former life, a family with older children would probably be best. If you can provide tummy rubs, an unlimited supply of tennis balls and unconditional love Derby might be the guy for you.
