About Sandy Claus – ADOPTED
This little girl came to us after her family moved during the holiday season and left her at the shelter. Just like her namesake, Sandy Claus is a Jolly Soul with a twinkle in her eye. She is gentle, playful, curious, smart, and very loving. True to Claus fashion she is a bit rotund so Sandy also has a New Year’s Resolution. She needs to lose about 15 more pounds. She is a petite little girl who would love to get her figure back so in foster care she has been walking 5 miles a day and has already dropped a few pounds! Sandy loves to go on walks so a dedicated walking partner would be ideal and with the help of a gentle leader, she is learning proper leash manners.
What other wonderful things can I tell you about her? She loves to cuddle ~ sometimes she thinks she is a lap dog; Sandy is always happy to see you (even if you have only been gone for five minutes) and greets you with a wag of her entire body; She rides great in the car and is always ready for a road trip; She is enjoying the company of her canine foster siblings; She is playful and loves to play ball; She is housebroken and has never had an accident in the house; Sandy loves to be brushed and loved on ~ belly rubs a favorite; She has never been destructive and has left all family belongings alone, even those enticing tree ornaments; She knows many commands, has excellent recall, and responds quickly to correction; She takes treats very gently and gives sweet kisses. As an extra bonus on these cold winter nights, she is an excellent foot warmer!
This little love bug is great with everyone and other dogs (no cats please) but she loves to be near her people most of all. She is wonderful with kids, but her greetings can be overwhelming so she may unintentionally knock over the little ones.
All Sandy wants is a loving home with a family to call her own, forever. If you think this little cherub is the girl for you, please contact cisco.7587@yahoo.com .
