Sting found his way to the SCGRRescue due to his humans getting divorced. When I picked him up, he appeared to be a healthy 8 yr. old boy who had been well cared for. He was very excited and came with me eagerly. With a few days, it was very apparent that Sting had orthopedic issues and was in pain. He announced to my females that he was an alpha who really wanted to be in charge and he didn’t bother to mask his separation anxiety. The vet check confirmed severe hip dysplasia, both sides, and a damaged knee. Stings human’s neglected to take care of him; they could not have known. The Board decided this boy would become a permanent foster and they would make sure he was cared for.
With great medical care and a few preventative measures to insure safety, Sting is settling in his foster home and becoming more comfortable and tolerant. He is getting some short longed for walks, softly chews on stuffed toys and loves his peanut butter bones….the wading pool rocks! He hangs amicably with his foster sisters, actually growing to like them! He is a smart boy with a loving spirit that gives the best, sloppiest Golden kisses. Each day, life is getting a little better and things are falling into place for Sting. It’s a gift to have him join our family.
