Ginny *Always in our hearts

June 2017

This is to let you know that a former dog of yours crossed the bridge on May 26.  Her name was “Ginny” (formerly A-Jin) and she came into rescue with SCGRR from Taiwan. We adopted her November 13, 2010.  She was an important part of our family from day one.  Ginny was a typical velcro golden and always wanted to be around her people. She was a completely gentle soul and was always patient around our children and other pets.

In the first half of 2016 Ginny had a few recurring episodes of vestibular disorder and was unfortunately diagnosed with a spinal tumor.  She responded brilliantly to prednisone and extra loving care until this spring when the prednisone started losing its efficacy.  After several months of failing mobility, in the end, she was unable to get up or sit up at all.  Last Friday we made the compassionate decision to euthanize her.  Thank you for giving us the opportunity to open our home to her. We loved Ginny and miss her deeply.
