Meet Bogart!

This amazing love-bug was found tied to a pole in front of a shelter when they arrived at work one day. SCGRR was able to scoop him up.

Bogart is all puppy in a larger form. He has plenty of energy and loves to play. One of his cutest features is his ears – often having one up and one down but he can synchronize them from time to time. He is tall and lean and lighter in coat than a typical Golden.

He absolutely adores everyone – loves people, licks constantly and wants to be in your lap or under your feet all the time. Bogart will follow your every move. He is a Velcro pup, he needs a family where he can be with his people more often than not – at home, at work, at outings or wherever. He travels well in the car. If able, he would love to go everywhere with you. He is house-broken. He has plenty of energy for whatever you are up for…whether it be ball play, lots of walking, a gentle bike ride, learning to kayak or swim.

Bogart is great with kids and has been living with 7-9 yr olds. He does well with other dogs but is still learning play dynamics and can get overly excited. He is a confident dog. For this reason, he would do better as an only dog with social opportunities or as a companion for another energetic dog. We are unsure about cats. He does have a prey drive and will chase lizards and birds so probably best without a cat.

Bogart is still quite the puppy but he is super smart, eager to please and a quick learning. He is mastering sit, stay and recall in his foster home. Bogart loves all toys – squeaky and non-squeaky – and has learned chewing appropriate items like elk antlers is much preferred to anything else. He loves to be a couch potato with you or sleep cuddled in real close. ****
