February 14, 2019: Bailey has found a foster home! He needs to go back to the vet in three weeks for final lab work, after which if he is all clear, he will be adopted.
February 8, 2019: Bailey has continued to improve in his foster home. His latest distemper test was negative so we will be looking for a foster home (with the intent to adopt him) where he will continue to be monitored for any kind of relapse.
Bailey came to SCGRR from another rescue as a healthy, young 8 month old little boy. He was full of life and one of the sweetest little guys we’ve met. A couple of days before being adopted, he became ill and was hospitalized with a serious lung infection. In trying to determine what it was, we discovered he has distemper. Obviously, the adoption was called off and our focus became healing him however possible. So far, he is doing well, as he has had a few ups and downs, but we are waiting for a repeat lab next week to see how his levels are and we will take it from there.

Stay tuned for his progress.
