Bloo was turned into rescue at 12 years of age on New Years Day 2019. We picked him up from his owner and delivered him to his foster home, where he was spoiled and loved like a favorite grandchild. While his original owner claimed his many lumps and bumps were benign, our rescue vet found them suspicious. A lump was removed which turned out to be cancerous. Unfortunately clear margins could not be obtained.
Bloo was then moved into our permanent foster program last spring and landed in another loving home where the spoiling continued and he made best friends with a little pup in his new pack. His foster mom did an amazing job of diligently following his medication protocol and giving him supplements to keep him comfortable. More importantly, she fully opened her heart to this boy. He was so loved.
Bloo crossed the Rainbow Bridge last night, 12/9/19, after being with us for almost one year. It is with sadness that we said goodbye, but he is no longer in pain. Bloo crossed the bridge knowing he was loved.
It takes a lot for fosters to open their homes to these dogs. Bloo’s fosters fully opened their hearts knowing their time with him would be limited. We are sorry for the heartbreak they are feeling today, but so grateful Bloo knew so much love.
