Sweet Gracie just celebrated her 2nd birthday last week. This gorgeous goldendoodle was relinquished by her family for not getting along with the other (more submissive) doodle in the home. She has been quite sweet with the resident foster dog, who has been a temporary sibling to more than 30 foster dogs, and is learning the proper greeting for dogs she meets on her walks. Gracie is not dog aggressive or reactive, she is just learning to be a confident canine…something her new family will need to continue to work on. Currently she is enjoying long walks twice daily with her foster dad, who she has grown very fond of. She loves exploring and he is giving her the opportunity to do so. She really has not been exposed to much.
This long-legged beauty is house-trained and has great indoor manners. She would do okay in a home with kids, but is not bomb-proof so we are sure we would not tolerate young ones climbing all over her. She loves her toys, but is not a retriever and we do not know if she is a water dog. She rides great in the car and tolerates social handling. Gracie loves belly rubs and takes treat gently. We do not know how she would do in a home with cats.
We do not believe Gracie had much socialization outside of her home. She is a sweet dog with a lot of potential and will make a great addition to just about any family. She will need time, opportunity, and love to help her gain confidence.
