Bailey Boy – Adopted!

BaileyBoy is a handsome 5 year old that came to us as an owner turn in. His owner could not keep him because he frequently jumped the four foot block well in their backyard … a practice he has not repeated at his foster’s home. To be safe, his new home should have a tall, secure fence

We suspect if Bailey left his old yard, it was likely to get near people he may have heard. This dog is a love bug and wants to be as close to people as possible. He’d love to be in your lap if you let him. He seems to get along with people of all ages and would do well in a family home. His last home had two children, ages 7 and 9.

In addition to getting along with people he gets along great with his foster brothers, a 6.5 year old golden retriever and 6 month old kitten. While Bailey seems content to let the kitten rule the roost, he does want to be the alpha dog with the other golden. His foster family is enjoying his antics when playing with other animals and would love to see him in a home with at least one four legged friend.

Speaking of playing, Bailey, while very well behaved, is still a puppy at heart. He loves his toys and enjoys running at top speed through the yard (and sometimes the house). Bailey is always up to go for a ride in the car or a walk in the neighborhood. He pulls a bit on the leash and will chase a squirrel when he sees one, so could use more training there.

In the house, Bailey has been perfect. He can be inside for many hours at a time with no accidents and clearly understands the difference between dog toys and his people’s belongings. We would like a family for BaileyBoy where someone is home much of the time. He may have been jumping the fence in his prior home because he was bored being left alone many days each week.
