Meet Decker and his new Family!
Hi, my name is Decker. My owners turned me into the rescue when they could no longer care for me. So why should you consider me? Well, here’s the short version: I’m really happy, easygoing and smart. Since I’ve had a good and loving family all my life, I have excellent house manners, won’t bother your belongings, am house trained, know the doggie door and basic commands like sit, lie down and stay. I walk pretty well on a leash and am friendly to all. I get along well with my foster brother, but would be equally happy in a home as an only dog. I don’t beg for attention, but I really like being with you and will be your doting companion when you’re home. I have good energy for a long walk or jog, but am happy to stay at home and lie quietly by your feet. I lived in a home with older children who moved out of the house, and have maintained my gentle, calm nature with the young children I’ve met on my walks. And even though I may seem pretty close to perfect, there are 2 things you should know: I will chase cats so I shouldn’t be placed in a home with them, and I am more into tail wagging than barking, which makes me lose points as a watchdog.
