Ferdinand ended up at the shelter and his family was not interested in bailing him out so SCGRR had the honors. Matted and stinky and full of ticks, he was bathed, brushed, de-ticked and escorted to his foster home. Gee didn’t he clean up beautifully?
Freddy is the perfect house mate. Gentle, easy going, loves to be petted, fine with other dogs but not a “wrestler” type of guy. He is good on a leash, not food aggressive and is gentle taking treats.
Freddy needs to lose about 15 lbs, so his new family should be committed to healthy eating, regular walks and play time. He weighs about 92 lbs now and should be about 75 maximum. Another under-coat brushing might take off another 2 lbs!
We do not know if he grew up with small children, but that does not preclude a family from inquiring about him. We don’t know about cats but he really wanted to catch a lizard today. He loves tennis balls, squeaky things, stuffed animals (and destuffing animals) and needs to have something soft in his mouth.
