Jimbo – Adopted!
Meet Jimbo aka Buddy. He is a sweet mellow 6 year old boy with lots of love to give.
He was given up by his owners because they had too many dogs. He was so lucky one of our volunteers was able to rescue him immediately so he did not have to spend any time at the shelter.
We believe he was an outside dog who had little if any attention, he has adjusted very nicely to a life of a cherished and loved part of his fosters family. He is housebroken and has great manners. He knows the difference between dog toys and his foster sisters things.
He can be left home alone and just sits patiently waiting for you to come home. He gets along great with other dogs and is living with a 18 month old toddler. He lets her lay on him and his only issue is he thinks he can help himself to her food. His foster family is working on this behavior. He is trying very hard to please and wants to do what they ask of him.
Buddy loves to go for walks. He is extremely strong and does pull hard on the leash. He will need a family willing to help him learn to walk properly. He loves going to the dog park, where he is free to roam off leash. He is happy by himself, although he also likes to play and run with the other dogs. He is an all around great boy.
We are looking for a home that has someone home most of the time. Even though he is not destructive when left alone, we feel strongly that he is happiest just being close to his people.
