Maximus – Adopted!

This big boy is Maximus. Or Max, as we call him. Max just turned 7 in May, although you wouldn’t know it, as Max still has a lot of puppy about him. Max came to us because his human, a college girl who had cared well for him since he was a pup, no longer had the means to do so.

Max is, according to his foster mom,the perfect golden houseguest. He knows commands in both spanish and english: sit, stay, paws, lay down. He is completely house trained and leash trained, although he does pull a little from excitement, although nothing a gentle leader and/or harnass could not address. He has no food or toy aggression, always happy to share with his foster brother, nor does he have any separation anxiety-he is happy to while away any time he spends alone snoozing, waiting for his people to come home.

Max has a great disposition, and loves everyone he meets. He greets all strangers with a wagging tail and a smile, and is especially good with children. He absolutely loves the dogs he encounters on his walks, always trying to entice them to play. In fact, at his foster families’ home, he and the resident golden play constantly, to the point of exhaustion.
