Paisley – Adopted!
Meet Paisley. She is the one of the sweetest dogs her foster family has had.
She was very scared and shy when she first came to us, trembling like a leaf when her family of 7 years were forced to find a new home for her. But with the help of her very persistent foster fur brother, and the love and patience of her foster parents, she is slowly coming out of her shell.
Paisley appears to have been abused when her family adopted her from another rescue at about 6 months old. She was found shaking and whimpering underneath a car, on a busy street, too afraid to come out of her hiding place. She has come a long way since then but remains a very shy girl.
Paisley is very obedient and well trained by a professional trainer. She knows many commands like bow, sit, stay, drop and leave it among many others. She is playful, friendly and loving to her foster parents but remains cautious of strangers especially men. She reacts well to other dogs both big and small and lived with a rabbit in her prior home. She has never lived with cats but we feel she would be fine with them as she does not appear to have any kind of prey drive.
She has lived with children as well. She has good house manners and has been left alone in the home with her foster brother with no incidents of any kind. She walks well on a leash and doesn’t dig, chew or bark excessively.
She loves car rides, her walks and being pet. Her favorite toys are her bones and her tennis balls.
Paisley would do best in a quiet household either alone or with other dogs. She would also prefer being with her people much of the time so someone who is home a lot or works from home would be ideal for this little girl.
