This sweet little lady is Sandia. She was reluctantly turned in to rescue by her owner who did not want to give her up . Her circumstances forced her to make a tough decision and do what she thought best for her beloved dog .

Sandia knows her commands – sit, down, stay and shake – she especially loves to shake for a yummy treat. She is very good on her leash and prefers to wear a harness – so fashionable! She is housebroken and has very nice house manners; she is never destructive even when left alone.

Sandia is very quiet and rarely barks unless it is appropriate. She is fine with other dogs as long as they are sweet and quiet like she is. She is even fine with her foster cat siblings!

Sandia loves people, loves to be pet and is very affectionate. She is skittish at the vet and does not really like to have her lower body fussed with too much so some understanding will be needed there. For that reason no children under 12 will be in her forever home.
