Shayla is a friendly, energetic golden girl with an even temperament and a playful demeanor. She gets along well with her foster golden brother and they spend hours sharing toys, balls, and playing tug of war.

She loves all she meets, and will quickly roll over for a belly rub or two or three…if you want to give them she will continue to happily accept them.

She is good with all other dogs she has met, but does express a lot of interest in smaller animals such as birds and rabbits and so we are unsure about cats. Shayla knows her basic commands: sit, stay, down, and is learning to walk well on a leash. She follows direction nicely and wants to please her human.

She does not like to be left alone outside- it appears that may have been the case for her prior to her coming to us. Like a typical golden  she wants to be with her people.

Shayla would do well in a home with a buddy or as an only dog with plenty of play time with her new family. She is still very young and she has a tendancy to jump on people when she first meets them so a home with very young children may not be suitable for
her; at least not before she has undergone some training.
