Roxie Rose – Adopted!

If you are looking for a sweet companion, someone to take leisurely walks with and throw the ball around the yard for a game of catch, then look no further…Roxie is your girl.

Roxie is a mellow girl who will always greet you with a smile and a wag, and sometimes her “woo-woo- warble” if she is really happy. She has excellent house and leash manners and just loves hanging out with her people. Her favorite past time is playing ball; Roxie loves tennis balls! While she does not have the energy of the younger dogs, she is slowly building up her endurance. She did not get much exercise in her previous home and since she has been in foster care has lost 20 lbs! She really enjoys her walks and is now the perfect size.

Roxie has lived with other dogs but prefers to be your one and only. She is indifferent to other dogs upon meeting and will let them know that does not like them in her space (or face) if they linger too long. She does however, love to be stopped and greeted by people on her walks. Roxie knows some basic commands and responds to gentle correction on leash.

Her foster family has shown Roxie what it is like to be an integral part of the family and so she has developed a Velcro nature. She loves to be at your feet while you are on your computer or snuggling during movie night. She just loves to be hugged and petted. Roxie is great with kids of all ages, whether it is a sleepover or building a fort, she wants to be part of the action.

Roxie has spent most of her life with little human companionship. Since she has discovered love and adoration in her foster home, she has truly blossomed.
