We wanted to let SCGRR know that Lila crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday. We are heartbroken and will miss her so much. Lila was diagnosed with laryngeal paralysis about a year and a half ago. On Thursday she had trouble making it around the block for her walk and on Friday she was unable to get up. Her breathing was very labored and we had to make the heart breaking decision to let her go. We adopted Lila April 1st, 2012 and always felt so lucky that Lila picked our family. Two other families met her, but she was waiting for us.
She loved to go for a car ride, hike the highest mountains, watch the chickens at the school, was always on the hunt for the neighborhood rabbits, loved to chew a good bone and hang out with her people. If you couldn’t find her, she was often sleeping in Leah or Quincy’s rooms when they were away. She will be missed very much by us and her BFF Scarlet. Run free sweet Lila Girl!
