Eight plus years ago I adopted a wonderful Golden from you named Logan, who I renamed Murphy. I was told he had been tied to a tree and had not ever been in a house. He certainly had never been on a leash or had been walked. He proved to be a quick learner and quickly learned. For eight years he was a loyal and faithful friend and companion. He came with me to see patients in my job in hospice. He had a calming and sweet nature that was a comforting presence to our patients.
Yesterday I said goodbye to my sweet boy after a short battle with nasal cancer. On Valentine’s Day, a day of love, I gave my boy a final act of love and released him to run free in that special place that God certainly has for these wonderful dogs.
My eternal gratitude for SCGRR for allowing me to ‘fail’ foster my wonderful Murphy.
Sincerely,
Patricia Darcey
