About Me

Lovingly Sponsored by:

Meet Arthur!  A handsome, approximately 2 year old male from South Korea.  Arthur was discovered in a high kill shelter where he sat for days without water as the pipes were frozen.  Once released from the shelter, Arthur spent time at our Korean partner’s boarding facility where he loved to play with the other dogs as he awaited his flight to the US.  He arrived in early March and is now looking for his forever family.

Arthur is ALL PUPPY IN A BIG BOY’S BODY that needs training. He is very food motivated and will become a great dog with proper training and boundaries. Arthur is sweet and affectionate as well as loves tummy rubs!  He is nervous around cars (doesn’t like riding in them) and loud noises, with proper training he may overcome these fears.  Arthur LOVES to play with other canines and NEEDS a confident playmate in his new home.  Cats are unknown and given his high energy may be too much for the kitties

He can have high energy first thing in the morning and evening while playing with his foster fur sibling.  Because of his high energy, a house with older children (approximately 10 and up) will be best as he may knock the little ones over in his excitement.

He LOVES tennis balls and chasing the ball.  Arthur does pull on the leash and he is using an easy walk harness and working on his walking habits – another trait that training will help.  He has not been destructive in his foster home, and he does carry shoes around if they are left out for him to find!

Arthur allows items to be taken out of his mouth.  He LOVES people and is very Velcro to them as well as quite the social butterfly for human affection.  He eats well and doesn’t beg unless someone is eating while sitting on the couch, then he is right there for a bite!  Arthur has jumped up on the counter when he thinks there is something to eat and he does counter sniff.  Again, training will help.

He has had accidents in his foster home and is learning outside is where his “business” needs to be done.  If the door is closed, he hasn’t learned to signal his humans he needs to go outside.  He LOVES his crate and sleeps there during the night.  He does wake up in the middle of night wanting to play and his foster mom will take him for a potty break.  Sometimes, after lots of play, he will take a nap in the crate.

He doesn’t know any commands but sit (with hand signal).  Arthur is a smart boy and will learn quickly with consistent training.

My Ideal Home

Arthur will do well in an active home where someone is home most of the day as he LOVES his people.  A yard will be a bonus for ball play as well as another stable canine companion to build Arthur’s confidence!
