About Me
Meet Bass, a super sweet and velcro boy who’s owner had a heart attack and the family couldn’t take care of him. We assume he was left in the backyard by himself as he was covered in fleas and ticks (his foster mom spent hours taking them off and counted about 200!) when he came to SCGRR. He actually enjoyed all the (flea shampoo) baths he got, so we assume he loves water.
Bass LOVES people and dogs (but he does think humping is showing love to his four-legged companions…). He likes to be wherever his humans are (and understandably doesn’t want to be left in the backyard by himself). He is a smart boy that learns fast, but is still working on manners. He hasn’t destroyed anything in his foster home, but counter-surfing is one of his favorite hobbies. And he once tried to eat his foster mom’s socks… As he is clever, he will learn the boundaries fast. https://youtu.be/gxM5KyfXtL8
He loves toys and proudly walks around with them to show them to you, but doesn’t yet know the concept of “fetch”.
He enjoys his walks and loves meeting people on his walks. The other day he met a boy in a wheelchair and walked right up to him to say hello. He was greeted with a big smile in return.
My Ideal Home
Bass will need a family that is home most of the time or someone who can take him to work. We are also looking for someone who is willing to continue to work on his manners. Once he understands do’s and dont’s, he will be an absolutely amazing companion that’s up for any adventure.
He will be great as an only dog or with a dog that shows him boundaries.
He seems to be great with kids, but slightly older kids will be better as he can still be exuberant.
