About Me
Meet Liza and Shira, they are a bonded pair that came into our rescue when the owner who had severely neglected them decided to euthanize them. Thankfully, a Good Samaritan contacted us and we picked them up and brought them into our care. They both came in with severe skin issues and very much underweight. With their vets and the help of their foster mom, they are receiving medical bath, better food and are now slowly getting better. They have come a long way since then and will continue to flourish into the dogs they were meant to be. With proper nutrition, and bath we anticipate that their coats will get better and soon they will get their “beautiful golden locks” back.

Liza, is a 5 year-old Golden Retriever and around 50 lbs. With light brown coating and soft brown eyes. She can be fun and energetic but also chill and sweet. Most of the time she likes to sniff and explore things, other times she is sleeping like a puppy. When you play fetch with her, she won’t retrieve it; she prefers to keep it. A fast learner that understands commands but sometimes can be stubborn when going for a walk. I like to walk side by side with my sister and when I see a moving lizard or insect I want to say hi. Although I haven’t met children closely, I am curious about their scooters and bikes. I am also pretty friendly with other dogs, I like to smell and greet them. I am popular with strangers and love the attention because I am a sweetheart seeking all the love I can.
Hi I’m Shira, a cream Labrador Retriever, weighing 55 lbs but I look slim. Compared to my sister, Liza, I am more shy and need encouragement. For example, I will need your cheering to get into a car. I don’t sleep as much as my sister but when I do I snore like a bass speaker. I am smart and just need some training, I am happy when I feel secure and calm when I am comfortable with the surroundings. I will give you a hint when I need to do my business because sometimes I can’t hold on too long, I am good overnight but during the day I need to go every 2-3 hours if I am not sleeping. I like walking but when I pass our home I want to go home. I love to play fetch and I am very good at it, I could be your adorable baseball practice buddy.
My Ideal Home
The best home for these two sweetheart is a loving home where their humans are going to make them their priority. They are in need of a lot of love, patience and most of all to feel secured. These two girls have been through a lot of neglect and deserve to now be happy and learn to be a dog and play. Their personalities is still coming out everyday, but we know that they are and will be forever grateful for the attention they will received.
