About Me

Hello World! We are the “nature” puppies, an extremely adorable bunch of siblings – four girls (Terra, Savannah, Meadow, Valley) and five boys (Dusk, Forest, Marsh, Canyon, Glen). We all came to SCGRR from a backyard breeder – and we are lucky we got to stay together until we moved in with our foster families.

We are super cute 8 week old Golden Retriever pups (DOB 4/10/2022) ready to start our lives with you. We are curious, sweet and very loving – snuggling with our siblings, older fur brothers and sisters in foster care and with our humans is one of the best things in the world. We are also super smart and LOVE food – training us will be easy as long as lots of yummy treats are involved!

We all have the sweetest temperament, and we are all like a white sheet of paper. No bad experience in this world, no funny quirks, good with other dogs, cats, kids, adults, you name it…and full of love and ready to explore the world! We are not 100% potty trained yet, but we are very smart, and we will learn fast if you provide us with the right training.

My Ideal Home

As we are still so young, we are looking for someone who is either at home most of the time or has the ability to provide us with human companionship while we grow into adult dogs and learn how to be good canine citizens. We will definitely need someone who is committed to training us – we have SOOOO much potential to be the most amazing pups, and we want to make sure we get a chance to reach our full potential. And of course someone who is committed to being our pawrent(s) forever and will love us unconditionally! We are in the LA, OC, Murrieta (Forest) and Crestline (Meadow) area with foster families, ready to move into our forever homes.

Want to Adopt me?

If you think you have what it takes (some sleepless nights, some accidents in the house as we learn to be housebroken…but we will give lots of love in return), please send a detailed email about why you would be our ideal family to naturepuppies@yahoo.com.

It is very important that you let us know the following when you apply

• Your experience with dogs and specifically puppies • Your experience with training (potty training and general obedience)

• How we will be taken care of during the day

• Where we will stay if you have to go away for a couple of days and cannot take us

• What type of life we will have at your home, for example how much exercise we will get and what activities you are planning to take us on when we are a little older

• Who conducted your home interview

• That you have read and understood the note about vaccinations and neuter/spay and you will follow SCGRR’s protocol below Preference to choosing an adopter will include your answers to the questions above as well as your application and home visit notes.

We can only consider those applicants that have had their home visit by a SCGRR volunteer. While we think we are all equally adorable, we understand that you might have a preference for one of us. Please indicate if that is the case, or if you would like to be considered for any of us.

VERY IMPORTANT – PLEASE NOTE:

• We think we are best off with you from young age so we have lots of bonding time and get used to the animals, people and surroundings that are important to you. However, as we are still so young, we have not had all our shots yet and we are not yet spayed/neutered. If you adopt us, you will have to follow a very strict protocol on vaccinations and spay/neuter provided by SCGRR. You will be given specific times for all of this, and you will need to provide proof (either from one of our partner vets or from a vet of your choice) that you followed this protocol in order to be able to keep us.

• We anticipate a lot of applications. If you have not submitted your online adoption application and if you have not had your home interview with one of the volunteers yet, please refrain from reaching out. We will only be considering those applicants who have had their home visit by a SCGRR volunteer. You can get the process started at Adopting a Rescue Golden – Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue (scgrrescue.org)
