Hello, my name is Preston, and I’m a sweet senior Golden Retriever eagerly looking for a forever home where I can share my love and wisdom. With my years of experience, I’ve honed the art of being a loyal and gentle companion.

I may not have the boundless energy of a puppy, but what I lack in youthful exuberance, I make up for in my calm and gentle demeanor. I’m a seasoned pro at snuggling up beside you and offering the most heartwarming companionship. I will sometimes moan softly while being petted because I am so relaxed and happy.

I am working on losing weight and getting around a little faster, especially at mealtime, I get very excited! I get a few healthy treats throughout the day, I savor every bite and appreciate the simple pleasures in life. For example, the wind in my face while riding in the car. I know quite a few commands and smile and wag constantly when being praised for doing a good job.

Preston is the perfect match for those seeking a serene and loving companion. He would be most content in a peaceful environment where he can enjoy the company of humans and his stuffies. He doesn’t ask for much, just a warm spot by your side and the chance to be loved and cherished during his golden years. He has lived with a female dog and loved her very much, but can be dog selective. He doesn’t bark or whine and is a wonderful houseguest with his foster family.
