About Me

Willow and Hunter is a bonded pair that was surrendered to rescue after having spent most of their lives neglected and outside. They both came into rescue severely emancipated and starved for affection. Willow came in with several medical issues: She needed to be spayed, but because of her weight or lack of it, this had to be postponed until she gained at least 10 – 15 pounds. She also had 3 mammary tumors, a cyst, and a mass on her hip. Skip to several weeks and I am happy to say, Willow is on the mend, she gained the weight, she was spayed, tumors, cyst & mass removed and all came back benign! Hunter and Willow are now ready to find their fur-ever home.

They are both full of love and looking to share their love with a family who will never fail them again. They are an easy-going bonded pair once they came out of their neglected shell to being loving and very happy dogs. They are both house trained and have not had an accident in their foster house and have good basic house manners. They both get along with the older golden and feisty Yorkie. They know sit and stay, come and will do so with the yummy treats their foster Mom give them.
They both have had a spa day and the groomer said they did really well, and she fell in love with them. The foster Mom states that this bonded pair is the sweetest dogs she has ever met and a joy to be around. They show no sign of aggression what so ever. They are not destructive. They just want to be loved. They have been well mannered, sweet, and loving from the beginning of coming into the rescue.

They both easily entered the car and will sit calmly and are great backseat drivers. They need a little more training as far as walking on a leash; they love to go for walks. They would do best with someone in the home most of the time to give them a lot of love and attention. That seems to be all they want besides food & yummy treats, of course.

Hunter is the light color golden and Willow is the red color golden. They are both easy on the eyes and loved to be groomed. Hunter and Willow are very laid back and relaxed in the home. For the most part they are a very quiet pair and really has not barked at anything. The dogs sleep either on the floor in the master bedroom or on the cool ceramic tile in the family room. Their foster agrees that Willow is the leader and Hunter follows along the whole time, but is protective of Willow. These sweethearts are the best and we know that they will make a loving family very happy and that they will be a wonderful addition to a lucky family.

My Ideal Home

The ideal home for Willow and Hunter would be a loving family who will give them all the love and attention they so desperately need and want. Someone that they can stay close to and enjoy leisurely naps and backyard exploring. Willow loves to chase small critters, while Hunter watches and lays in the grass. They don’t mind being left alone for a couple hours, but they would rather have a human with them to get plenty of belly rubs.
